On the 14th February, Sage will be turning off Automatic VAT filing. Happy Valentines! This means that users on the latest version will no longer be able to file VAT returns to HMRC directly. Sage’s strategy in doing this, is to encourage their existing customers to move to software paid for by monthly subscription, meaning the cost of your software could quadruple.

Excel spreadsheets take time, don't integrate with other business applications or give you accurate profit and loss figures, are complicated to amend and are unlikely to be MTD compliant.
