Malcolm Palmer FCA - Managing Partner
During the early years of his career Malcolm was like the accountant in the Monty Python sketch, a frustrated lion tamer. To compensate, he spent much of his time putting his head in the jaws of vicious tax inspectors (usually on behalf of clients).
Malcolm’s early days in a Longfield rabbit htch began after the takeover of a practice with no computers and staff that id not like change. As the practice grew, Malcolm discovered a book called "The E-myth Revisited" by Michael Gerber and started working on his business rather than just in it. With an unblemished year on year record of continuous growth including a move to larger premises in West Kingsdown, Malcolm’s ability to delegate day-day tasks has led to his current role as Managing Partner of a 35 strong practice with over 600 clients.
His current work includes running strategic planning days for many of those clients and Malcolm says: “Accountancy has a reputation for being boring but we get involved in all the interesting things that our clients get involved in. When they have something big happening (good or bad) they know they can call us for help”
