In September 2009, Sage are planning to release a new update as they do every year. At the same time they have announced that they will no longer support Sage version 11 or older.

If you use, Sage 11 or older this will cause the following problems:

• If you ever have a problem with your data or a backup then Sage may not be able to recover corrupt information.

• It will be difficult for us to upload your data onto our system when we prepare your year-end accounts

With everyone in the construction industry looking for ways to save time and money, we have organised with Sage for one of their senior representatives to come on the 25th June for a breakfast meeting to show you the potential Sage has for:

• Accounting for CIS issues including filling in monthly returns and getting authorisations from HMRC for every subcontractor you use
• Job costing including monitoring profitability of all jobs

Both of the items above have separate modules that can be linked to an existing Sage package.
