In a week when half the world started easing lockdown and the other half of the world watched their number of Covid-19 cases rise, a comment from Dr Celso Granato, a clinical director in one of the countries whose numbers are going in the wrong direction highlighted the importance of having a system which accurately reports results is.

In February or March there was a huge flood of Chinese tests arriving in Brazil,” said Dr Granato. of Fleury laboratories in São Paulo, Brazil. “We tested 11 different brands of rapid tests and nine of the 11 were complete garbage.”

“But”, says Dr Granato, “the government bought them anyway. They thought it was better to test with these kits than nothing but that’s not true – worse than not testing is testing with a bad test, you have bad results.”

The same thing applies with your business. Never before has monitoring your monthly figures been so vital to your businesses survival. As we head into the second half of the year, where you need to make profits to offset the losses of the last six months and help pay all the deferred debts during quarter 1 of 2021, if you don’t monitor you figures closely your business could be a Covid casualty.

Emma White, Partner at A4G, has created a video discussing the best reports to use to track your profit and why it’s so important, especially now.
