A4G Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, an independently owned firm, is relocating to a new office in Wrotham Heath, Kent in April 2026, reflecting its ongoing growth and long-term commitment to clients.

After more than 26 years in West Kingsdown and 31 years in business, A4G has chosen a modern new space that will better support its team, clients and future expansion. The move also underlines the firm’s commitment to remaining independent in a sector where private equity ownership is becoming increasingly common.

“Staying independent has always been core to who we are,” said Emma White FCA, Co Managing Partner. “It allows us to make decisions based on what’s right for our clients and our team, not shareholders. This new office gives us the space and facilities to do exactly that.”

Josh Curties BA (Hons) FCA, Co Managing Partner, added: “This move gives us the space to grow, support our clients even better, and continue doing things our way with purpose.”

From the start, A4G has focused on building strong advisory services, growing sustainably, and investing in the next generation of accountants. Each year the firm recruits school leavers and graduates as trainees, nurturing talent and helping ensure the firm continues to develop and thrive.

This commitment continues today. In 2026, A4G welcomed six new trainees straight from school or university. They spent their first months supporting the Tax Team between September and January and will now begin gaining experience across different departments as their careers develop.

The new office will also provide improved facilities for clients, including comfortable meeting rooms and ample parking, reflecting A4G’s focus on creating an environment where clients feel welcome and supported.

Big enough to support clients, small enough to care

Over three decades, A4G has grown into a trusted advisory firm for owner-managed businesses. The aim has always been:

“To be the best, not necessarily the biggest, advisers to owner-managed businesses.”

The firm has always believed that success comes from understanding what business owners actually want to achieve, not simply selling services.

The last few years have been challenging for many businesses, and A4G’s approach has remained consistent: being big enough to provide the expertise and resources clients need, while still being small enough to care about each client personally.

Rather than focusing on selling services, A4G focuses on helping clients achieve the outcomes that matter most to them. In practice, that means helping clients to:

  • Provide peace of mind
  • Reduce the burden of taxation
  • Create clear management information and accounts
  • Improve cash flow and profitability
  • Support new businesses through their early years
  • Make the business less dependent on the owner
  • Advise on strategic changes and growth
  • Protect and build long-term wealth

The new office marks the next step in A4G’s journey as an independent firm focused on helping business owners build stronger, more resilient businesses.

About A4G LLP

Founded over 30 years ago by Malcolm Palmer FCA, A4G Chartered Accountants combines accountancy expertise with proactive business advisory to help owner-managed businesses grow, plan for the future and thrive.

The firm’s journey began above a hairdresser’s in Longfield before moving into larger premises nearby. In 1999, A4G relocated to Kings Lodge in West Kingsdown, a building with a colourful past. In the 60s and 70s it was Johnson’s Café, a popular biker hangout, and in the 80s a nightclub where DJs including Pete Tong launched their careers.

Malcolm’s recent book, Making Your Business Less Dependent On You, reflects a philosophy he has also applied within A4G. In the firm’s 30th year he handed over the running of the practice to Emma White and Josh Curties.

Emma joined A4G as an 18-year-old trainee and Josh as a 21-year-old history graduate, demonstrating the long-term success of the firm’s trainee development programme.

From its early days as a small high-street practice, A4G has grown steadily through organic growth alongside carefully considered acquisitions from practices looking for a trusted home where their clients will continue to be well looked after.
